  • Report on trends, openings/closings, lawsuits and other developments involving restaurants and bars in the Sacramento area. Spearheaded The Bee’s first-ever comprehensive review of the region’s Top 50 restaurants. Started as a breaking news reporter before moving to the food and beverage beat in April 2018.

  • Covered local industries including restaurants, metropolitan development and agriculture in and around a city of 200,000 for the Texas Panhandle’s daily newspaper.

  • Oversaw production of California Polytechnic State University’s student media, including newspaper, TV and radio. Previously worked as a news editor, news reporter and columnist (2012-2015).
